KOH SAMUI ATTRACTIONS IN THE ISLAND
Angthong National Marine Park :
Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park consists of 42 islands. The park covers a total area of 102 sq.km and most of the islands consists of limestone mountains about 10-400 meters above sea level. They have caves and cliffs.
Koh tan :
The Coral Island, locally called Koh Tan is considered to be the neighboring island of Koh Samui without car and road only white sandy beaches. It takes about 20 minutes by long tail boat.
Fishing :
Koh Samui is situated in the Gulf of Thailand so if you like sport fishing you could find fish like barracuda, white and red snapper, shark, cobia, mackerel, sailfish, gar, travaly, queen fish and sting ray.
Temples and pagodas : Wat Phra Yai and Big Buddha (This temple is the home of the famous Samui Big Buddha, a 12 metre tall Buddha located on the North of the Island), Sumret Temple (this building contains many different Buddha images, near Hua Thanon), Coral Buddha, The Leam Sor Chedi (It's located at the far South of the island between Ban Tale and Ban Pang Ka) , Buddha's Footprint , Wat Khao Chedi, Wat Sila Ngu, Wat Kiri Wongkaram, Wat Plai Laem ( located in the north of Samui between Big Buddha and Choeng Mon Beach).
Samui Butterffly Garden :
.You can see many species of tropical butterflies at this huge beautiful netted hillside location.
A great display of caterpillars and cocoons can be seen.
